Discover the solid and integral foundations of creative digital photography in one of the most historically rich venues in the South West.

Do you have a digital camera, and only use it in Auto mode? Do you hope to purchase a digital camera and would love to know how to use it, starting at the very beginning? You’ve found the right place to start.

The Aim of this workshop is to cover basic aspects of photography for the beginner, including: ISO, aperture and shutter speed.
Addie will delve into the history of photography, and speak of her own creative processes and passions within this work.


Of course, there is years and years of practice involved in your on going journey- I am merely here to share the very basics, to get you off auto mode- and start creating your own story’s with control- the way YOU see it.

  • Limited small number of guests- in a relaxed, cosy environment.
  • A detailed workbook will be provided for you to take notes and take home to refer back to.
  • A hands on opportunity to practice and ask questions
  • Light snacks/ seasonal summer fruit.
  • A selection of tea’s and coffee.
  • No previous photographic experience necessary.
    -Arrive a little earlier to allow time to settle in and make a cuppa.

    Bring along:
  • Any full frame DSLR or mirrorless camera is very helpful. If you don’t have one yet, that’s okay if you feel you can take detailed notes!
  • Standard kit lens (any lens is fine, 35mm, 50mm)
  • A memory card
  • Fully charged camera battery
  • Your curiosity and an open mind
  • Water
